Abstract
This study aims to analyze gender bias and discriminatory practices occurring within the classroom learning process through the lens of the sociology of education.
Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research utilized a data source sample of 50 college students. Data were gathered through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of learning materials.
The results indicate that gender bias manifests in the form of domestic-public role labeling, asymmetrical teacher/lecturer interactions, and gender-based division of labor in group assignments. These practices unconsciously perpetuate inequality through cultural capital and linguistic codes within the classroom.
