This study aims to describe the implementation of the mind mapping method in the Psychology of Religion course and analyze its supporting and inhibiting factors for fourth-semester students at STAI Samora Pematangsiantar.
Using a qualitative approach with a data source sample of 40 students, data were collected through classroom observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation.
The results indicate that mind mapping is effective in improving students' understanding of abstract psychology of religion concepts, encouraging creativity, and increasing student engagement. The main obstacles identified include limited time for constructing mind maps in class and the initial adaptation process for students who were accustomed to the lecture method.
