Model Pembelajaran Jigsaw untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam Kelas XI SMK Swasta Kartini YPI Al Madjid Pematangsiantar T.A. 2023/2024

In the Islamic Education learning process in class XI at Kartini Private Vocational School YPI Al Madjid Pematangsiantar, the methods used by teachers are limited to lecture and question-and-answer techniques, resulting in low student learning outcomes. Therefore, an engaging teaching model is needed to enhance learning enthusiasm and achieve satisfactory results in Islamic Education. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Jigsaw learning model in improving Islamic Education (PAI) outcomes in class XI at Kartini Private Vocational School YPI Al Madjid Pematangsiantar for the 2023/2024 academic year. This research employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology with a quantitative approach, using student scores as the research benchmark. The study subjects comprised 25 students from class XI at the aforementioned school. Data were collected through observations, tests, and documentation before and after the implementation of the Jigsaw learning model. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The results indicate that the average pre-cycle learning score was 59.6, with 11 students achieving completeness, resulting in a 44% completeness rate. This rate improved with the implementation of the Jigsaw model; in Cycle 1, the average learning score increased to 72.6, with 18 students achieving completeness, resulting in a 72% completeness rate. Further implementation in Cycle 2, due to Cycle 1 not meeting the target, showed an average learning score of 86.4, with 23 students achieving completeness, resulting in a 92% completeness rate. Thus, it can be concluded that the Jigsaw learning model significantly improves Islamic Education (PAI) outcomes in class XI at Kartini Private Vocational School YPI Al Madjid Pematangsiantar for the 2023/2024 academic year, leading to the acceptance of Ha (alternative hypothesis) and rejection of Ho (null hypothesis).
